“Per una notte, è ok”
The mattress was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and in the room I liked having a small umbrella, a fan, and mosquito products. The room and towels smelled of smoke, and even my pajamas ended up smelling like that. The room is really small and has no mirrors or a bin; given the shared bathroom, those would be very useful. The lock on my room didn’t work well.
“Beste Lage. In Sachen Preis-/Leistung gibt es Besseres.”
The location is fantastic—almost unbeatable. The Vaporetto stops at S. Silvestro, Rialto Mercato, and Rialto are all reachable in just 2‑10 minutes, so getting around any time of day or night is easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and free Wi‑Fi was available, though the signal quality was generally poor. WhatsApp communication worked well, and we received local tips beforehand that were useful for newcomers to Venice. Nearby, there are many good restaurants; if you know where to go, you’re well supplied from breakfast through the night. Contrary to a common assumption, you can eat and drink affordably in Venice; tourists who fall for the tourist traps should research beforehand. Tip: avoid any place that displays pre‑made pizza slices in the window or photo menus at the door. The description of the accommodation can be misleading. The rooms are very basic, with a bed, a seat, and a place to hang clothes (coat rack, no wardrobe). There is a separate bathroom for women and one for men. The women's room has a toilet, bidet, bathtub/shower, and sink, while the men's room has a toilet, shower cabin, and sink. I don’t know the maximum number of guests sharing the bathrooms, so it’s possible that the bathroom/toilet is unavailable at times. Used toilet paper is disposed of in a small bin. The room is accessed by a fairly steep staircase to the second floor, likely a former apartment. Each room can be locked, but the locks are very simple old ones. There is a small shared kitchen. Because of the very central location, the surrounding alleys can be noisy for a long time in the evenings. The room has a fan, no air conditioning—depending on the fan speed, the noise level increases. Overall, I find the price‑performance ratio not optimal; a general modernization would be welcome.
Dario was very friendly. The room was nothing like the pictures; I didn’t stay. Booking never answered any of my calls or emails about this. I paid for something I didn’t use.
It’s in such a good place.
The room was basic but the bed was extremely comfortable.
