The view was good, but the experience in this accommodation was really bad. We found the place in a pitiful state of cleanliness. The owner had agreed to let us arrive at 14:30 instead of 17:00 because we had a wedding and needed to change, and we only stayed for about half an hour to put on our wedding outfits. We knew that because we were arriving early the cleaning would happen after we left. We also asked to leave our luggage in a corner, which was accepted, so we set them aside to avoid any obstruction. Later, we were told that our luggage had prevented proper cleaning. We find that unfair: if we had simply been asked to move the luggage to allow a full clean, we would have done so. Using our luggage as an excuse for the lack of cleanliness is not acceptable. Moreover, the accommodation was truly disappointing: there were spiders everywhere, even in the bathroom, and some were falling from the ceiling while we showered. Frankly, it is not normal to find a place in that condition, especially with two young children. We expressed our dissatisfaction, but no commercial gesture was offered. This is especially regrettable given the state we found the place in. We understand that cleaning may need to happen after a departure or that an early arrival can change the schedule, but we cannot accept that as an excuse for an obviously unclean place.
