The spot was ideal – we could walk everywhere, and the staff were easy to reach via WeChat with a 24‑hour reception. I might have wanted a more elaborate breakfast, but it wasn’t bad at all. The cleaning was perfect and using the services was a breeze!

The hotel’s central location is great, and all major sights are about 300 m away and easily reachable by subway. On the 15th floor there’s a fantastic observation deck overlooking the river. However, our room was very small, had a musty smell, and the laminate floor was damaged—everything looked worn out. We had booked a room with a view of the sights, but instead received a city‑view room, and no alternative was offered even after we complained. Breakfast is served in the lobby or hotel bar, which is cramped if you want to eat between 8 am and 9 am. The buffet offers only a very limited selection of Chinese foods and noodle soups, and the Western options are also sparse and not particularly tasty.

The room was spacious, the bathroom was large with a smart toilet—an added bonus in a world where bidets are rare—and the king‑size bed was truly comfortable. Despite the ample space, there was no small fridge in the room, which would have helped keep water cold during the hot August days in China.
