“Es waren die schlimmsten 2 Tage”

The only thing we liked was the location. The entrance was awful, going through a basement room. The room was clean but the mattress clearly came from the last century; you could feel the springs of an old innerspring mattress. The bed frame was a disaster – it squeaked and wobbled. The bathroom door was partially transparent, so you could see your partner on the toilet. The shower curtain was moldy about 20 cm from the bottom. We didn’t see the host during the two days.

The room was cozy, and the hosts were perfectly accommodating. Small requests were handled immediately. The compact kitchen was really functional – you could cook a fried egg, make small meals in a pot, or reheat leftovers in the microwave. For me that was more than enough. Thanks for a lovely stay.

“Heureusement on ne devait pas séjourner sur place, nous devions juste pouvoir dormir quelque part”

The place is really peaceful, which I liked, but getting there was a hassle. The entrance isn’t marked at all, so we kept wondering where we were supposed to go, and the walk up to the room felt more like a storage closet than a proper guest space.

The location works great if you’re after quiet and don’t mind a 20‑minute walk into town; the two well‑stocked grocery stores and the excellent Swiss train connections are a big plus, and the short stroll to the bathing area is lovely. On the downside, the kitchen is pretty bare‑bones—as advertised—but the bathroom only has a single water tap, which can be a bit fiddly, and a hair dryer would have been a nice extra.
