Economique et rustique. Bounty adorable. Le bruit matinal des pirogues à moteur. C'est le jeu quand on donne sur le Mekong.

The experience was the worst I've had in 15 years traveling across SE Asia. The owners appear friendly, yet they can't manage the app, so they can't see booking details, agreed prices, or reply to messages—meaning they failed to arrange ferry terminal pick‑up and kept charging more than the online agreement. The location is terrible: most guesthouses cluster near the ferry terminal at the north point, while this place sits almost 3 km farther south on a narrow, unlit concrete road that feels unsafe at night with teenagers racing motor‑scooters. The bungalow has no windows—only wooden shutters that must stay open for ventilation—so the river boats’ noise is deafening. Boats pass within 20 m, often in the middle of the night, waking you. Basic accommodations abound on the island, but this one is worse: no A/C, no flush toilet (just a bucket), no windows, and no functioning shower. The washbasin had good water pressure, suggesting a broken roof tank pump; the owner knew nothing and wouldn’t fix it. Only a tiny fan hung high on the wall, barely felt at the foot of the bed and ineffective for the rest of the room. I stayed during a 40 °C heatwave, couldn’t sleep until 2 am or 3 am, and could only shower by dumping buckets of water on myself. I cut my stay short and left after two days.

The cabin sits isolated by the Mekong with two rooms, each having its own bathroom, surrounded by nature; only four of us stayed at the resort, there were no other cabins to rent, and the nearby hotel was silent during our visit. Occasionally a water buffalo or a cow with a calf wandered onto the adjacent meadow, the spot was very peaceful and a small boat sometimes passed by, swimming was sometimes tricky depending on the water level. The on‑site restaurant with bike rentals offered tasty meals at low prices, and the owners were extremely friendly.

The calm, location, and terrace with hammocks are great. The room is simple but acceptable. The bathroom is old, with only a tiny stream of water barely enough for a shower.

The hospitality, kindness, and responsiveness of our host are spot on, always smiling. The location is top near Don Khon. The bicycles are ultra practical and functional. Sunsets and sunrises are beautiful. The bed is comfortable. The vibe there was serene, like home. You must be an early bird, have good earplugs, or align yourself with the sun to avoid being surprised by boat engines at 6 am. The shower water pressure is weak but still allows washing. Maybe a few more items in the bungalow—like a bedside table or something to put our stuff in the bathroom—would have been a plus.
