The location was ideal for dogs, but we were disappointed that the hot jacuzzi was missing, the shower was barely usable because you had to hold the shower head or it would fall off, we had to leave the car parked because we couldn’t get home, and two days later the power went out and we were left in the dark even though we had already unplugged the car’s power strip, so the fault wasn’t ours.

The exterior of the property, the indoor pool and the kids’ play area were great, but the bed felt a bit hard.

The town was charming and quiet, a 15‑minute walk to the centre, the host was pleasant, greeted us, showed everything, gave us lunch suggestions and places to visit, replied to messages quickly, there were two pools, the outdoor one was unusable but the indoor one had warm water and a jacuzzi, and several tourist routes were within walking distance; it would have been nice if the kitchen had basics like salt, sugar and a bit of oil, because we don’t bring those on trips.

The house itself is good and the jacuzzi is a highlight, but the neighbourhood isn’t great—there’s always a dog barking every couple of hours at night, making sleep difficult, and when it’s not the dog, the neighbours play Arabic music or chatter; we only saw the owner on the first day for five minutes, never again, never asked if we needed anything or if we were okay, and when we left he didn’t say anything like “hope you had a good stay” or “thanks for coming”; there was almost no empathy, and the skillet was dirty like the pot, so it needed replacing.

The apartment faced the pool and had its own parking. It was a quiet place where we could stay alone for several days. The only drawback was that a kettle or a Senseo would have been nice, there wasn’t much dishware, and many pots weren’t compatible with the induction hob.
