“Cold stay”
The location was good and breakfast was offered for an additional fee in the description, which is a very important aspect for business trips - the chance to have a hot breakfast. Unfortunately, when colleagues arrived at the accommodation, it was found that the lodging options were limited because the manor was not heated. We got a call from the owners asking us to cancel the reservation (after 8 PM) and in this rural area it's impossible to find another place to stay. After talking, a solution was found to put industrial heaters in the room – realistically, they won't provide much warmth. Colleagues spent the night in a cold room (for context – it’s November - late autumn, the temperature in the unheated manor is similar to outside) and the facilities were outside the room, which wouldn’t be a problem if the indoor temperature were suitable (it was impossible to use the shower because it was too cold). The price per night was 126 EUR (without breakfast, which would be extra) which doesn't match the comfort that was received. Usually, in such a situation, any self-respecting establishment would apologize and try to find a way to compensate for the inconvenience. If by any chance you’re planning to stay at this manor in the cold season – don’t, so you don’t end up like us. Why didn't we contact Booking support right away? Because it was late and there were no other accommodations within a 50 km radius and access to the booking business account was only at the office pc
