I loved it; the owner was super friendly and took care of us. We came with our baby, and everything was fantastic, plus the view of the volcano was spectacular.

The view from the house’s lounge and the proximity to Parque Internacional La Amistad were nice, and the showers had hot water. Cerro Punta and this place have a lot of potential, but I’d suggest the host pays more attention to basic details, like the beds didn’t have sheets. Also the rooms aren’t separated by walls but by wooden boards, so you literally hear everything from the other rooms. The kitchen wasn’t clean.

The climate and scenery are beautiful. It’s far from the town. If you don’t have a car, you have to walk or take a taxi, and taxis don’t often go out to the town.
