Breakfast was very varied and plentiful, with endless coffee and a good selection of pastries and cakes, which I loved. I personally felt the welcome wasn’t very friendly; I’ve stayed twice at Hotel Irene this year and each time I didn’t feel very welcome, though that might just be my impression and the owner’s personal style. At breakfast he still always asked for coffee very politely.
