“Good location, comfortable bed, but very noisy”

The spot was excellent, check‑in was simple, the host communicated well, and the bed was comfortable. However, it was extremely noisy from the road, the front door slammed, the floor above room 2 was very squeaky, a drain in the top‑floor bathroom made noise, and the locks on all doors were difficult to operate after a few attempts. Only one bathroom served six rooms, causing a queue, and there was a tiny toilet in the outhouse that was inconvenient in the cold. The room itself was very small, but I was aware of that beforehand.

On the positive side, the place was well located… and that’s about it. The value for money was disappointing; given the price we expected more amenities and facilities. The room was very small, barely enough space to open a suitcase. On top of that, there was only one shared bathroom for all the rooms.

“Not bad”

The location was clean. Only one shower was available on the top floor, the room was tiny, and the codes for the room and the entrance door were sent in separate emails.

The location was good and the host was very responsive. When I arrived the room was dirty and the bed linen clearly hadn’t been changed. I asked the host for fresh sheets; a cleaner came while I was out but instead of changing the bedding he just removed some hair and made the bed with the same sheets. I had to ask a second time for the linen to be changed. Only then did another staff member come and replace it in front of me, with no apology or acknowledgement. That was disgusting and very disappointing. I do have to credit Sara and the staff for their communication—they were responsive, easy to reach, and genuinely tried to fix the issues quickly. The main problem is the housekeeping standards, which clearly need improvement.

“We were very satisfied”

My wife and I were very satisfied with our stay. The accommodation’s location is absolutely fantastic. The hotel is small and clean, and the area is quiet at night. The room is really small, but we only used it to sleep, so we were satisfied. We also had no problem with the large, comfortable shared bathroom. Our first entry was a bit funny—after midnight and in the dark, we struggled with the keybox and the code on the room door. But we’ve played a few escape games, so we managed it :-) So I give it a 10/10 and my conscience is clear.
