The location was good. I booked a room with a terrace and received that type of room. The next day, when we wanted to go sightseeing, we were told they would change our room. The new room had a similar standard but no balcony. Wi‑Fi didn’t work, and the TV was also non‑functional. When paying in cash, the receptionist scrutinized each dollar and wouldn’t accept some; it really irritated me, so I paid by card.

It was a disaster. I got a completely different room than what I had ordered. It was supposed to be a large room with a terrace, city view, and private bathroom, but the view was just a wall and there was no terrace. On top of that, it was located right next to the reception where people were constantly moving around and it was noisy, and there was a guy playing drums until 1 a.m. The entrance was through a hanging cloth to the laundry and then into the room. It was very small, dirty, smelly, and impoverished. In the room, there was a bed, a pouf, and a fridge, but it was impossible to unpack. The toilet and shower were separated from the room by a single glass, everywhere there was mold, no toilet paper, no sink, and no cleaning supplies. The window was broken and wouldn’t close, the TV and air‑conditioning were also broken. After I intervened, the man at reception said it was only one night and that I would get a different room tomorrow, but in the morning a woman at reception knew nothing. I tried to negotiate the price but it was futile, so I checked out and found a great hotel 300 m away for the same price. I do not recommend it; they post different photos and rent something completely different.

The front‑desk staff were very courteous and the team overall was helpful; the location is excellent and breakfast was good. The elevator was out of service but was fixed quickly. However, the booking listed the hotel as New Palace, while the place we were sent to is called Palace Court and is in a different spot. Also, the hotel claimed a free washing machine, yet we found it was chargeable and that was not written down.

The rooms were clean and the breakfast and reception were excellent.

Breakfast and the staff are great; this is my second stay at the hotel and I recommend it to everyone. The staff are wonderful, the price is reasonable, the place is clean, and the location is fantastic. Breakfast included fruit, various drinks, and the room views are beautiful.
