Located in historic Durham, Hotel Indigo Durham occupies Old Shire Hall, a 5-minute walk from Durham Railway station and 700 meters from Durham Cathedral and Castle. The hotel features contemporary bedrooms with mini fridges, rainfall showers, and free Wi-Fi. The Marco Pierre White Steakhouse serves signature steaks, and the Rotunda cocktail bar offers tasty cocktails.

The building is stunning, offering all the comforts while retaining character; the room was roomy, clean, and had everything we needed. Nothing to dislike.

The building is stunning; we stayed in room 11, which was spacious and fully equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A lot of restaurants are within walking distance, and there’s a nice neighbourhood café in the hotel that's great for a light breakfast or morning coffee. Nothing to dislike.

Great location, good food, and a lovely hotel full of atmosphere. The room itself was excellent, but the view was very poor, looking over the hotel roof, and the A/C plant was not what I expected.
