The scenery is dream‑like, hard to imagine such beauty; the cabin sits right in the middle of it all. There’s a terrace where you can enjoy treats like tender, tasty lamb pastramă or hearty soups. The mix of tourist numbers and prosperity is always disadvantageous for both sides; when the offer doesn’t match the demand, imbalances appear. In this case, there were too few tourists; a few years ago there were too many.

“Bonita estancia de madera entre montañas”

The setting of the accommodation is gorgeous, with mountain and village views from the room window. The room is all wood, resembling a mountain cabin, very pretty. The shared bathroom was clean and had no issues. The staff were very friendly and the hotel food was excellent and very homemade. I highly recommend this place. Keep in mind that the lodging doesn’t provide gel or shampoo—you need to bring your own. There are stairs to reach the rooms, so carrying a heavy suitcase is a bit tough, but that’s not a major problem.

“Highly recommend, will happly return.”

The location in Tara Motilor is amazing, with stunning scenery, close to the Underground Glacier Scarisoara and Poiana Calineasca. The positioning is perfect (I suggest arriving at sunrise or sunset). The food is great, and the cook and staff are fantastic. I’ll gladly come back, probably during the winter holidays. The internet was available but quite poor (understandable for a remote mountain village), though there are spots where you can get a good signal.
