I highly recommend this homestay! The rooms are clean with two large single beds, making it a perfect setup for a couple, and the proximity to the train station and city center is an extra bonus.

“Absolute Scam! Mouldy moist and rip off!”

The bathroom was spacious and hot water worked well. But this place is a scam – the host told me the price listed on the site was for a single bed, while we booked a double, so we had to pay twice. She also mentioned a different price from Google without checking our booking. After a long back‑and‑forth, just before I was about to leave, she finally agreed to the original rate. The room was the smallest, most humid I've ever stayed in; it was so damp we had to dry our backpacks for a day. I booked a hostel so I could use the kettle for coffee and noodles, but she denied it, saying “no, it’s my home and my kitchen, you’re not allowed.” The room smelled of mold, damp, and a mix of her husband’s sweat, alcohol, dirt, and cold smoke – so strong I almost threw up. When I returned to check out, I found a grumpy old lady in pajamas on the sofa. The good reviews seemed to come from her Sri Lankan friends who were around. The deluxe room was tiny; I could almost fall into the bed when I opened the door, and I couldn’t even fit two backpacks.
