The place is very welcoming, clean, and well‑maintained; the garden is cute and the location is great, 2 km from the center, and easy to reach without getting lost in alleys. The single straight road to the basilica is a nice touch. The only downside is the lack of a small fridge—there’s space for one.

The location is great, all sights are close by, and the bathroom is spotless. We chose this place because it promised a garden or courtyard for guests, but the garden belongs to a ground‑floor room, so other guests can’t use it. The room lacks water glasses and a mini fridge.

The welcome was warm, and they accepted and stored my bicycles securely. The setting feels old‑fashioned, fitting the name La petite maison. It’s a bit far from the historic center, but that makes walking around easier!

The building is nicely positioned, quiet, and the room is spacious, yet the price of 110 euros for a double is far too high for the quality, especially considering how expensive Florence has become. Adding a 6‑euro daily tourist tax for such accommodation seems excessive; the municipality should rethink its policy. The only real issue was the noisy cleaning staff: the cleaner shouted at 9 am on Sunday, talking loudly with friends in a walkie‑talkie, and the doors weren’t sound‑proof enough, so the noise was amplified by the stairs.
