The view, the quiet, the lovely grounds, the spacious bathroom, and the comfortable bed were all great. However, it seemed the breakfast had been cut back; the croissants were tiny and the raisin bread barely enough. The selection was sparse, the atmosphere bland, and the staff at the front desk were stoic. Behind the reception, some young staff—perhaps trainees—gave little information at check‑in and weren't very welcoming; one even greeted me with a casual “Hoi…”. On the floor above the guest rooms, there was constant hammering at 7.30 am, which really ruined the morning peace. I also missed having a mini‑fridge in the room.
