Potamia is situated in front of a stunning ancient monastery on the rock, offering an amazing view. It’s very close to the main tourist spots yet far enough to maintain a calm atmosphere, unlike Gorem. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and tastefully designed. Ahmed, the host, is meticulous, and the housekeeping and dining staff are equally attentive. It’s one of the best places we’ve ever visited—100 % recommended.

The place sits in a peaceful spot with a huge patio that looks out over a stunning valley where cliffs hide caves. Our room was roomy and comfy, offering great views. Breakfast was tasty and generous, and the staff at Potamia were all friendly and ready to do anything to make the trip memorable. Ortahisar feels calmer than other Cappadocia towns like Goreme, and it’s close to beautiful valleys and open‑air museums.

The hotel is amazing! We enjoyed the view, the serenity of the scenery, the room was excellent, the staff and Ahmet, the owner, were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it!
