Located in Bayers Lake Business Park, the Coastal Inn Halifax offers free Wi-Fi, on-site parking, and a daily continental breakfast. Guest rooms feature cable TV, free local calls, microwaves, and coffee makers. The hotel boasts an indoor pool, fitness centre, business centre, and outdoor patio. Nearby attractions include the Halifax Harbour (30-minute drive) and Maritime Museum of the Atlantic (10 km).

We stayed in a freshly renovated room that was fantastic, but the breakfast offered was disappointing.

The place was very run down. The room wasn’t clean and needed a full upgrade. Traffic noise was constant, the window was broken, and both TVs were old and didn’t work. We disinfected the room with Lysol and covered the couch with a sheet. The breakfast was awful.

The hotel is very modern, with a big fridge, plenty of storage, and a large bathroom; the continental breakfast was simple but appreciated. It’s near many restaurants and shops, though it takes half an hour to drive to downtown Halifax. The bathroom was beautiful but needed a bit more cleaning between the shower doors and walls (the lower half didn’t match the upper half), and the flooring doesn’t reach the walls in some spots.

The room was renovated with a fridge that has a freezer. The pool water was extremely cold, there was someone in the pool, and the lunch was very basic.
