The surrounding shopping street was handy, the izakaya Kawasemi served excellent food, the bed was comfortable, and there was a small sushi place called Kozo Sushi nearby. It would have been nice to have a place to have breakfast on‑site.

Staying in the off‑season was very cheap, you can leave luggage at the front desk, and the staff were very kind. Although you have to walk a short distance to nearby attractions, it’s manageable, and a 7‑Eleven right next door is convenient. The room was clean and tidy; it isn’t a brand‑new hotel but the environment is comfortable and the room supplies are complete. The walk from Abashiri Station took about ten‑plus minutes, and pulling luggage along the sidewalk was a bit difficult, though that’s not the hotel’s fault.
