“Train tracks overhead”

The bed was comfy and the room stayed tidy, but we had no idea trains rattled by every 15‑20 minutes overhead, blasting noise into our room. People smoked outside our open window every 20 minutes, and the odor seeped in. The air‑conditioner whined so loudly we had to crack the window. When I called management to complain, they did nothing. A single light switch turns on all the lights from the bathroom to the main bedroom, so when you head to the bathroom you wake your partner.

“The staff are nice but this hotel is not”

The staff were super friendly and very helpful over the phone, adding rooms to our booking and sending the invoices we needed for work. I wish I had more positive things to say, but we stayed with a large group and while some rooms were acceptable, others were not; several guests complained about dirty conditions, including hair in the bathtub. We only stayed two nights after a long workday, so we didn’t want to stir trouble, but it was off‑putting. Breakfast was down the hall and had some very unusual items: reheated pasta and potatoes, which felt odd for a morning meal. The waffle machine was a nice touch, but the waffles came out dirty, raising cleanliness concerns. The next day we opted for a local restaurant instead of hotel breakfast, as the same pasta and potatoes were offered again, and the coffee machine was empty.

“Schlicht und einfach”

Zentral gelegen. Das Bad war schön groß. Weniger Komfort geht kaum. Die Klimaanlage war aus, und es war sehr warm im Zimmer. Außerdem roch es unangenehm. Nachts hat die vorbeifahrende Bahn regelmäßig Krach gemacht, aus einem Nachbarzimmer schrie ein Baby. Die Betten waren nicht sehr bequem. Haben kaum geschlafen!

Belle chambre très propre et assez équipée. Le train passe juste à côté de l'hôtel et il passe souvent. A/C bruyant.

“Light sleepers beware”

The room was clean and the location was spot‑on, with a lot of cool spots and the waterfront just a walk away. The downside was the lack of soundproofing; I could hear people moving around all night, and the train tracks right next to the building made it very noisy, especially at night. The A/C unit was also loud.
