The property was in a nice part of the San Fernando Valley and the yard entrance looked appealing, but after passing the white gate it was mostly dirt with a few concrete steps; the studio entrance was confusing with no clear path to the front door, the interior was dusty and dirty with hair on the floors, the couch needed shampooing, and the positive reviews seemed fake—there was nothing positive about the studio.

The apartment was gorgeous, a separate unit in a decent residential area about 50km from LAX, perfect for a quick rest before heading home. Everything was brand new and modern—air conditioning, Wi‑Fi, and the coffee machine all worked flawlessly.

The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning in the front room and bedroom could be controlled separately. The place had been cleaned before my arrival, but it wasn’t ready, so a lot of work had to be done. Check‑in was on a one‑hour window from 1 p‑2 p, but the staff happily extended it until 7 p. I noticed a gas smell when I entered the unit and had to keep the windows open for ventilation.
