The owner gave a portable heater because there was no specific bathroom radiator, which kept the room calm despite the neighborhood’s buzz. The downside was having to climb four flights on a narrow, steep staircase.

This budget hotel feels like a hidden gem. It’s basic, but the location (next to a metro stop), daily deep cleaning, friendly staff, decent breakfast, great service, and excellent Wi‑Fi are huge pluses. It’s a breath of fresh air in a city where many hotels are pricey. The area is full of good restaurants, and it’s surprisingly quiet at night—an excellent base for exploring Paris.
