Communication with the host was excellent, the location was great, and the place was clean. I was surprised to find a shared bathroom – that wasn’t mentioned anywhere. The apartment has three rooms, which disrupted our privacy.

The room wasn’t bad, but there were a lot of noises, the walls were thin, and the water pressure in the bathroom was low.

First, I have to praise the extremely courteous owner, Guido, who gave thorough instructions for self‑check‑in ahead of time (no internet needed, just follow the WhatsApp guide). For a reasonable price you get a room within walking distance of Pisa’s main sights (about 15 minutes on a relaxed pace) with everything you need. The train station is a bit farther, but you can walk there too. The place sits on a quiet street in a paid parking zone, but the fee is very reasonable – it’s only charged from 8 am to 2 pm, and there were no problems finding a spot (as of September, I’m not sure about summer). We found it convenient to leave the car right in front of the building. A useful tip: if you’re running late in the morning and don’t feel like figuring out the parking meter, you can move the car to the nearby supermarket’s free two‑hour parking. We stayed two nights as a transit stop for visiting Pisa and Florence and were satisfied overall. It’s not really a drawback, just keep these points in mind so you’re not disappointed: 1. The apartment is on the second floor and has a steep staircase, which might be tough for kids, people with limited mobility, or if you have very heavy luggage. 2. Kitchen access is provided upon request; the host says cooking is possible if you rent all the rooms in the apartment.

The room was clean and the location was excellent.

The place was clean, but the shared bathroom had steep steps and no elevator, the shower pressure was too low, and the kitchen stayed closed until I asked it to open, which required a bit of persistence.
