Everything disappointed me except the location and the lobby. The breakfasts were mediocre and the service at breakfast was also poor. We were traveling with small children, checked in late Saturday evening, and had booked a spacious 50‑square‑meter suite with a fresh remodel. They promised photos and a description, but we were actually put into two adjacent old rooms in terrible condition—completely unlike the pictures. One room faced the hotel’s inner well, and the rooms were so narrow that there was barely space to move past the bed. When I complained at the front desk, they shrugged, fiddled with a computer for a long time, and said the room was the same class as what we booked. While looking at the photos on my phone in the booking app, the staff changed tactics and assured me that the app’s “fake photos” were not their fault. I asked again for the 50‑square‑meter suite as per my reservation, and they said none were available. It was clear that we wouldn’t search for another hotel that night with kids. They promised a manager would meet us in the morning, so we decided to go out for dinner. The guy at reception couldn’t find a restaurant or make a reservation. Eventually, we were sent to some bar around the corner that only had alcohol and spicy snacks. Apparently the reception staff wanted to get back at us, because in the middle of the night we were unhappy with the room we were in. Note that when we asked for umbrellas to reach the “amazing venue” they sent us two old tiny umbrellas that took so long to find we thought they’d forgotten our request. In the morning, no manager contacted us and the issue wasn’t passed on during the shift change. This was one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve had in a hotel in all my travels.

The location is good, but there was nothing else.

I stayed in the heart of the main shopping street, close to good pizza places and restaurants, and just a twenty‑minute walk from Sagrada Família. The entrance looked nice and there were three elevators that take you to the floors. The rooms were clean, quiet, and well‑equipped with plenty of bathroom products, slippers, a bathrobe, and extra towels. Everything was fine, though I might have liked a richer breakfast next time.

The location was excellent, the dining room stunning, and the food superb. The pool water was very cold, so it wasn’t suitable for a swim.
