“Peaceful beautiful historical setting with great breakfast”
I stayed in a peaceful, beautifully remodeled historical room and enjoyed a great breakfast featuring homemade yogurt and jam; the owner was pleasant and the property sits in a working vineyard on the edge of the Duoro valley with gated parking. However, communicating was tough—email replies were slow, and the phone was difficult; they should have told us earlier that they couldn’t take dinner reservations before we arrived. The port tasting was okay, and because it’s off the beaten path we had to drive miles on windy roads.
