The building itself is stunning, set in 24 acres of gardens that look like Downton Abbey on approach. The Stables Bar and Restaurant on site is perfect for an evening meal after a long journey. All staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is close to the Beamish Experience, definitely worth a visit. Several pubs and restaurants are a short drive away; we also visited Durham Cathedral and Raby Castle. After a day out, it was nice to return “home” to Beamish Hall Hotel. Definitely recommend.

“Can’t wait to return”

Beautiful building and gardens, a lovely terrace to sit in the sun with a glass of wine, fantastic food, a big, clean, comfortable room full of character. The staff were amazing, going above and beyond—especially when I left my jewellery behind and they returned it to me. Thank you, Julie. I would love a teapot in the room to make tea and fresh milk.

“What a beautiful hotel with amazing staff”

Stepping through the gate, the gardens were in top shape, full of flowers and tidy lawns; the receptionist greeted us warmly, and our Iris room offered a nice view of the front of the hotel. The Stables restaurant is a must-try, with staff who were flawless in their service, making our stay truly enjoyable. The location right next to the Beamish Museum is fantastic.
