The calm, the amenities, and the riverside promenade along the Thames on this side of the town were inviting, but we couldn’t enjoy the garden that has potential because it wasn’t maintained, which was a shame since the weather was pretty good.

The breakfast wasn’t included. The location was excellent, very close to Woolwich—just a 10‑minute walk along the Thames—where you can catch the Elizabeth Line to anywhere in London. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped but the utensils—plates, cutlery, etc.—were quite dirty and worn. I recommend penalties for guests who don’t leave the kitchen and its utensils clean and ready for the next stay.

The room was extremely comfortable and spacious. Clean and pleasant, everything you need is there. There’s a shared kitchen fully stocked with everything you could need for cooking, plus a laundry machine. The hosts were extremely polite and even offered to come at midnight to unlock my room because I’d locked the key inside. Luckily I didn’t need that. The bathroom is a bit narrower than it should be. The bed is softer than it should be; if it were a little wider it wouldn’t be an issue, but as it stands it’s a bit uncomfortable for two people. There was only one chair. The location is quite far from the centre, which could be a problem if you’re a tourist.

It was tidy and clean with good facilities in a quiet residential area. I stayed in Room 4 and the mattress and pillows were awful—the mattress has ridges and the pillows are too thin, and there were no extra pillows like you’d find in a normal hotel or B&B. The room gets very hot during the day even with windows, blinds and curtains shut, so better ventilation or a small air‑con unit would help. Getting to the property from local train stations is a long walk and a bit hard to find.

A lovely place for the price, plenty of space and a kitchen to cook in. I didn’t see any staff during my stay, not even at check‑in or check‑out, which was nice for my anxiety but felt a bit strange. Thankfully I had no issues, so I never had to contact anyone. It’s a little out of the way, so the location could be more convenient, but the area itself is quite pleasant, especially by London standards. The only downside is that the location is a bit away from things, but it’s not the end of the world.
