Very clean and neat, easy in and out, and the staff was very helpful! The location was a downside.
The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The workout room was nice.
“Would stay here again without a doubt!”
The staff was just amazing. There was a lady named Nina who went out of her way to make sure we had everything.
“Stick to a local bed and breakfast, the "amenities" at the Hampton are so not worth it.”
The location was great—just a short car ride from the EV charging station, grocery store, pizza spot, and brewery. The breakfast attendants were the only people who seemed to enjoy working at this hotel, and they were delightful. Our room wasn’t ready until about 5 pm, even though we arrived for check‑in at around 3 pm. We were in Taos for only one night to see a concert that started at 5 pm, so we had to cancel dinner plans because we had nowhere to get ready. The staff said they were shorthanded and that the previous night was sold out, so most rooms were still dirty—it was a mess. One front‑desk staff member was very combative and made us feel like it was our fault the room wasn’t ready, even though we hadn’t started our stay yet. Later that night, when we were setting up in our room, we discovered that none of the USB chargers worked, the nightstands were dirty and not wiped properly, there were faint orange stains on the bed sheets, flies were in the bathroom, insects were on the TV stand, the sliding door to the restroom lock was broken, there were no make‑up wipes, the TV remote needed new batteries, the pillows were flat and uncomfortable, the jets in the bathtub were grimy, and the toilets were old and low‑flow. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I can’t believe how bad it all was. I wish we’d chosen a bed and breakfast or Airbnb, but we expected the Hampton Inn to be a modernized place with great amenities, and it just wasn’t.
A good hotel, but the breakfast could have been better.
