The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Tuggerah Lake and 15 minutes from The Entrance, with Newcastle city an hour's drive away.

The location was fine for work. But it seemed like drug deals were happening most nights late with some tenants, arguments erupted between those tenants and customers, and large dogs lived in the ground‑floor units.

There was no breakfast. The place was very noisy, both from traffic and other guests, and I was disappointed to find dogs in the rooms; I certainly wouldn’t have booked if I’d known.

The balcony was nice. The only downside was that there was just one bathroom and it didn’t have a lock.
