Located in Kamala, Sungthong Kamala Beach Resort features an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi throughout. It offers private parking and is a 3-minute drive to Kamala Beach. Patong Beach is a 15-minute drive away, and Phuket Town and Phuket International Airport are 30 and 45 minutes away, respectively. Rooms have balconies, air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and en suite bathrooms with shower facilities.

The room was a good size, the internet was fast, and it was cleaned daily if requested. The pool was nice and large. I stayed in a street‑side room, which was very noisy with traffic and bright street lighting at night, so I asked for a rear room when booking.

The room was spacious and immaculately clean, with a shower, fridge, TV, and air‑con all functioning well. A balcony let us dry clothes, and the staff were very friendly. The pool was clean and inviting, and a roomsafe was provided. Big C supermarket and a Smart Bus stop were just around the corner, and an elevator was available. Every day free bottled water, instant coffee, tea, creamer, and sugar were supplied, and a water boiler sat in the room. Laundry service was cheap and good value for the price. The only downside was the absence of a hair dryer—though it might be available on request, I didn’t ask—and there was no room phone.
