“Great small boutique hotel with accessibility issues.”
Everything was great and the hotel itself is beautiful, as well as the view and the staff who work there. :) Getting to the property, especially at night, feels like playing Mario Bros. You have to climb a steep hill, first paved then a dirt road with no lights at night, and then a very steep, narrow set of steps where two vicious dogs wait. At night they become especially territorial and should definitely be tied or kept inside their house, yet they are not! The owner, a very nice but ambivalent old lady, lets them run loose despite their wildness. Consequently, it is an ordeal to reach the hotel after sunset. There must be something they could do to make the walk up to the hotel much more comfortable and safer for guests, like adding lights along the path and ensuring those dogs are not a threat. (By the way, the hotel is a good 10‑minute walk from Main Street, not half a block as the map shows). Once you’re safely inside, everything is super nice!
