The place was filthy, as if it had never been cleaned. The sheets had huge holes, ants were everywhere—including in the bed—and there was barely any water, let alone hot water.

This little hotel is a hidden gem - it's small, authentic, and has a beautiful sunset view. The staff are really friendly and always happy to help out. The hotel's a bit old, but it's spotless and the breakfast is pretty good too.

I liked the location and the pool, and it was really quiet at night - although we did have some fun visitors from the gecko family! The breakfast table was a bit grimy, and there were a few too many curious cats trying to swipe food. Also, no hot water in the shower, which was a bit of a bummer.

The breakfast was good, and the staff were really friendly - the lady on duty was especially nice. The rooms have water fountains and toiletries, which is a nice touch. That being said, the place is a bit of a trek from anywhere, but they do offer a meal delivery service which was tasty. The facilities are a bit worn out, with some torn parasols and faded sun loungers.

We had a wonderful stay at Penida Hills - the bungalow was lovely and super clean, and it was really quiet. The hosts were super friendly, and we loved the semi-outdoor shower. The flower-filled garden and pool were also great. It was perfectly located for us since we picked up our scooter at Sampalan port and they even helped with scooter rentals if needed. Big thanks!
