The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great – nothing was missing. The location was very quiet, but the bus makes the city centre easily reachable.

Pension Helmhof offers bright, traditionally furnished, non‑smoking rooms with private balconies, an outdoor pool, and complimentary parking in the tranquil Liefering district. The historic Salzburg Old Town lies minutes away, while two Austrian restaurants sit steps from the hotel. Summer breakfasts are served in the garden; easy access to A1, bus stop, arena, casino, Europark, and airport.

Pension Helmhof in Salzburg is a wonderful, cozy place located in a quiet and peaceful area. Guests are welcomed with spotless cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and a very friendly staff always ready to help. A huge plus is that they provide a free public transport card upon check-in, although I personally didn't use it since I had already purchased a Salzburg Card, which already included all transit

The breakfast was excellent 👍 everything was fresh and open, homemade jam, plenty of fresh scrambled eggs, Bircher muesli, tasty spelt rolls… wonderful 😋 The location is very quiet but the bus and S‑bahn connect well to the city centre. The hosts were very friendly. Highly recommended!

Andrea and Alfred poured a lot of love into everything, and it shows; they were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel interior was lovely and cozy, and the room was spacious and super clean. Breakfast was delicious, featuring many local specialties and even some homemade goods. A few bits could use some love and are a bit old, such as the swing in the garden.

The place is idyllic, very quiet yet close enough to get into Salzburg via the number 4 bus. The room was spotless, with a balcony that offered a view to die for, and the bed was very comfortable with super clean bedding. The only downside was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room; a shared kettle had to be used by all rooms. Breakfast was good, though they didn’t replenish items once they ran out, and when other holidaymakers took more than their share, the selection was minimal for later arrivals.
