““Unsafe and unacceptable stay—aggressive dog on property despite rules, hundreds of flies, trash stench, rude staff, and”
I had nothing to like about this place. Where do I start? My mother, two sisters, and I—my mother is disabled—traveled from Las Vegas to Phoenix for a comedy show, hoping for a fun escape. After a 4.5‑hour drive we reached the property. My sister and I checked into the room, and the experience immediately soured. Inside, a man with a dog—despite the listing clearly stating no dogs—was present. The dog became hostile, lunged at us, and nearly attacked both of us. The guest tried to control the animal, but we felt unsafe and unwelcome. To add to that, the property was filthy: hundreds of flies swarmed, and the grounds smelled of trash. The maintenance and cleaning staff, especially those in Unit C, were rude and dismissive. They lied about the unit’s readiness, saying 30 minutes, then pushed check‑in past 3:30 PM even though the property manager had already said early check‑in wasn’t possible. We arrived at 2:55 PM and were told the room wouldn’t be ready until after 3:30 PM, which only added to the frustration. The whole interaction with staff left us feeling undervalued and deeply uncomfortable, especially after the frightening dog incident. When I contacted the property manager, they refused to speak directly with me and instead sent impersonal messages through the Booking app. Neither the manager nor anyone else helped resolve the issue or offered a refund. This stay that never happened was a nightmare—unsafe, unclean, and handled with total disregard for guests’ well‑being. I am still waiting for a refund.
