Located in Gamagori, Hiranoya is a 5-minute drive from Laguna Ten Bosch marine resort complex and 10 minutes from Takeshima Aquarium. This hotel features natural hot spring baths, karaoke rooms, and Japanese-style rooms with traditional futon bedding, tatami floors, and LCD TVs. A free shuttle is available from JR Mikawamiya Train Station, and a breakfast buffet and multi-course dinner are offered.

The staff were very kind, and I liked having a room where I could read books at a relaxed pace.

The exterior and interior of the hotel were clean, and the coffee I brewed myself was delicious and interesting. Depending on the room you stay in, some floor areas were noticeably depressed, which was a bit scary.

The sauna was good, and it’s only a 5‑minute drive from the lagoon. It isn’t a brand‑new inn.

I stayed in a room of the main building; although the fixtures showed their age, the room was clean, and the lobby and other public areas were sparkling, which left me satisfied. The only drawback was that the bedroom door squeaked whenever I closed it.
