For those who want peace, this place is perfect: the chalets offer good privacy, the service is excellent, and the staff are welcoming and very helpful. The facilities are old, and there were frequent power cuts and bad internet.

The lodge sits atop the Serra dos Pirineus, offering a jaw‑dropping view. Hosts Paulo and Mara are extremely kind and attentive. The bathroom is spacious, with plenty of room to hang wet towels, a bathrobe, and clean clothes after a shower. The pool is only 7 m long, but it’s strategically placed on the plateau beside the lodge’s chalets, so guests can keep the view while taking a dip in the slightly warm water—hotter than the usually icy Pirinópolis waterfalls. The blanket is too thin and light for the cold at high altitude, so I slept with a jacket and hoodie layered together. I also missed a breakfast option (the lodge doesn’t offer one), forcing me to bring my own food; the nearest place for a morning meal is Pirinópolis, 30 minutes by car on a dusty, pothole‑filled road. Since I wasn’t aware of this detail—having booked en route to Pirinópolis and not read the service details—Paulo and Mara offered me good cups of coffee, which I enjoyed to wake up and fend off the cold. It was great.

A pleasant spot, though the road access is a bit tough, with a few kilometers on a dirt road. A good choice for a stay if you want to explore the area.
