“Escape the grind and go to the slowest living place on earth,”

After traveling for eight years and staying in many hotels worldwide, Casa De Lipe has surpassed all my favorites; the grounds, landscaping, and private beach create an ideal setting. I was exhausted from work and found the pace here to be the slowest possible. The staff were outstanding—though I never got the name of the amazing lady who served us poolside daily, she was incredible. The food was fantastic with five‑star service, and the port driver, manager, and maid team were all brilliant. I’ve found my second home and look forward to returning.

The hotel sits right by the water with stunning views, but the restaurants and shops are a bit far away.

The place is gorgeous, but the stairs are a lot and I’m not great at climbing them; the whole tiny island of Ko Lipe is littered with plastic bottles and trash on the beach—Thailand, please clean up. On the bright side, the room was comfy and offered a nice view.

The hotel is extremely peaceful, right on the water, with an excellent view; there’s a small beach hotel nearby and a sparkling restaurant serving great Thai food, and the staff are welcoming and pleasant. I visited in June, which is just outside the peak season, and the weather was fantastic with occasional breezes; because it was off‑season, dinner service ended at 17:00, which was a bit inconvenient.

A super lovely spot, but the weather was bad and ruined our experience. Because of the weather, we couldn’t have breakfast outside and had to sit in a dull room instead.
