It felt like a home away from home in a beautiful, private setting. The Bothy had many personal touches and an outdoor area with a field for evening dog walks. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. A bonus was access to a private swimming spot. Getting to Oban and nearby islands like Easedale, Luing, or the larger Mull is easy. Luing is a must‑visit; the food at the Atlantic Island Centre is delicious. Overall, the Bothy offers a perfect getaway. The only downside was the lack of wifi, which wasn’t a problem for us since we wanted to disconnect.

We stayed at this beautiful spot, absolutely quiet and serene. The owners were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond for us, especially on our Golden Wedding anniversary when they surprised us with a lovely bottle of bubbly. We enjoyed watching the gentle lambs and chickens wander around. A private jetty and a short walk to the shoreline made for perfect picnics and relaxation. The Bothy itself was warm, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. This was our third visit and we’re definitely coming back.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely place. The four small orphaned goats roamed freely, the chickens were around, and Ronja the farm dog was always there. Cookie, the owner, was a kind cosmopolitan. Thank you so much for everything!

The Seil bothy’s location is charming, with plenty of walking and hiking nearby and breathtaking scenery that’s truly relaxing. The bothy itself was decent, but it could use a few upgrades: a stronger plumbing system, a showerhead at a higher, more convenient height (it’s too low), a toilet roll holder, and Wi‑Fi would be a big help since most days we plan activities on our phones. It’s a bit pricey, but the location more than justifies it.
