I don't speak English, so when I arrived a woman—whose name I can't recall—was super kind and spoke Spanish, really helping me out. I was disappointed that one of the vending machines offered cash payment but it didn't work, so I had to use a card; I suspect it's a machine issue, not the hostel's fault. Overall, everything was fine, and if I ever return to Salt Lake City, I'll stay here again.

The staff were friendly and the vibe felt good, with the facilities looking spotless; it was my first hostel experience and I was pleasantly surprised. The location might be an issue—I rarely need to go that far west from downtown, the area looked a bit run down, and I felt I just passed the building; perhaps I misunderstood the name, since Booking lists it as BP Hostels, which I thought I was looking for.

I have to post a negative review to get the manager to react; I've called several times to find out from the camera footage who drugged my drink at the bar (not the staff, but another guest), but it's Tuesday and still no answer, so it seems the manager isn't taking the situation seriously or handling it professionally—sorry, but it deserves a one‑star review. The hostel is nice, but this incident matters.

The location is good, the staff are super friendly, and the rooms feel very modern. They’ve installed cameras outside to monitor parking, so I could leave my car overnight without worrying about break‑ins, which unfortunately happen in SLC. Everything was good.

The staff member who welcomed me and worked the next day was absolutely lovely, friendly, and kind; I really appreciated his warm welcome and helpfulness. I was quite disappointed, however: at 8:17 a.m. housekeeping entered my room shouting, “Housekeeping, housekeeping! It’s time for your check‑out today!” and when they saw me sleeping they said, “Oh sorry, you’re sleeping.” I understand housekeeping needs to prep rooms, but entering while I was still sleeping—especially that early—felt very disrespectful and intrusive. Also there is no kitchen at all, which is disappointing for a hostel. Overall, considering the facilities and the experience, I don’t think the hostel offers good value for money.
