We couldn’t find a single thing we didn’t love – the location was perfect, the cabin cozy, the staff friendly, and the views just kept blowing us away. We’re already planning to come back and are even thinking about having our wedding there because they’ve done such a great job with everything.

The place was spotless, tidy and felt completely private, and being right between Maleny and Kenilworth made it ideal for day trips. The only real drawback was the almost non‑existent mobile signal and the fact there was no Wi‑Fi, so streaming a movie at night was out of the question – we ended up using the DVD player instead.

Barb and Lloyd have put together a lovely retreat: beautiful views, clean and comfortable rooms, and a super‑soft bed that gave us the best sleep. Being off the grid with no mobile signal or internet turned out to be a blessing, letting us relax deeply while reading on the indoor and outdoor sofas and enjoying a candle‑lit bath. It also made a great base for exploring Conondale National Park.

Our time at Yabbaloumba Retreat was wonderful – the scenery was stunning, the room cozy and well‑appointed, and Barb & Lloyd made us feel completely at home. The lack of phone reception didn’t bother us at all, so we just enjoyed the peace.
