“Like stepping into another century”
I was skeptical before we arrived, but I didn’t regret a single day. Nothing feels staged here: the rooms, the antique furniture, and the estate itself are genuinely well cared for. We spent hours exploring the grounds—ducks, hens, donkeys, koi carp, an owl at night, and even a wild hare. This isn’t a hotel pretending to be a castle; it’s a house whose history is still alive. The comic strips in the drawing room, depicting the owner’s father’s life, will stay with us for a long time. For a few days we truly felt part of another family’s past. The only downside was that securing a table for dinner was hard; book well in advance.
