The cottages were very nicely finished with everything you need, and even in not so good weather it was comfy. The honesty bar concept was very nice, letting you serve yourself because the place is very remote. No coffee or tea was offered in the cabin and the closest supermarket is about a 25‑minute drive one way on mountain roads. The weather was grey and very wet for three days, even though it was sunny down in Funchal.

The location and nature are very beautiful and inviting for hiking. The cabin has a large window that offers a great view.

The location was super quiet in a beautiful valley. The house was cozy and clean. The only sounds were nature (birds, donkeys, peacock). A few handy kitchen tools were missing: pepper, a carrot shredder, scissors… A second mirror would be useful, and Wi‑Fi in the common area was weak.

The peace, a nice base for the PR3 walk. The house is clean, but has all the necessities. Nothing else :)
