We checked in at 5 pm after a cold afternoon watching the kids play rugby league; the room was nice and warm with the heaters on.

No one was at reception—check‑in was impossible. We arrived at 6:45 pm, yet the hotel claimed reception was open until 9:00 pm, so I had to find another place. Terrible hotel.

The location was spot on, right in the middle of town and close to supermarkets, restaurants, and other spots. The two‑bedroom bungalow was just right for 6 of us, with a separate kitchen and two separate bedrooms. Unfortunately, the rooms weren’t cleaned well—cobwebs on most ceilings, a slightly broken shower door, and a leaking radiator in the bedroom that soaked the carpet in one spot. The rooms felt a bit run‑down, dated, and could use a revamp.
