“Could have been better”

Nothing, it was the worst hotel: the beds were stained everywhere, the floor was sticky, cobwebs were everywhere, the room fridge didn’t work and smelled like marijuana, and overall it was terrible—I want a refund.

The location was exactly what we needed, within a quick walk to shops and restaurants, and a pleasant downhill stroll back from the Pavilion after a show; the owners were friendly and check‑in/check‑out was smooth, and common areas seemed well kept. The room, however, was just dirty—stains on walls, floors, bedding, and towels; crusty food on the decorative pillow and a damaged chair; the TV remote looked like a dog’s chew toy even though pets were banned; the bathroom was dingy, towels were tiny and smelled like fried food and chemicals; the mini‑fridge worked but the door didn’t close; the continental breakfast was not worth it—no kitchen meant the eggs and sausage were microwaved, flavorless, and flat; coffee was bad, and there was no tea for my partner. It was disappointing to have amenities that couldn’t be used.
