The spot’s close to Blue Spring SP and restaurants, but the room was tiny, the bed was small, and the bathroom had almost no storage; the listing claimed free breakfast, yet they no longer serve it, so the owner should rename the place from a bed & breakfast.

The Alling House’s quirky charm was unbeatable, and the Homestead cottage offered great privacy, a full kitchen, and an in‑unit washer and dryer; the neighborhood was safe with sidewalks, and the grounds around the homesites were priceless, featuring outdoor seating, space to stretch out, and even a spot to play catch or let the kids run around—felt like staying at your beloved Auntie’s house. However, if you’re after brand‑new accommodations, this isn’t it; if you appreciate well‑maintained historic character, stay at the Alling House.
