“HORRIBLE”
The vultures were the only positive thing. Our experience was very disappointing. First, the listing’s information was misleading. Getting to the house was difficult: you have to park far away and walk a poorly maintained path, which is not suitable for people with limited mobility or heavy luggage, and this wasn’t reflected in the description. Moreover, the ad claimed there was air conditioning, but there was none or it didn’t work. The parking was also not as expected, being in the middle of a forest. However, everything was eclipsed by what happened at the end of the stay. We had packed our bags after the vultures’ show, which lasted about an hour, and when we returned to the room we found that someone had entered and touched our luggage; we noticed we were missing a nightgown and reported it to the host hoping to clarify. Her reaction was completely disproportionate: she started shouting at us, spoke to us in a very rude manner, and even said she was “tired of strange people coming and accusing her of theft” (implying this had happened before; she only has six rooms). While we tried to reason with her (which was very difficult), she opened the adjacent room and the other guests claimed they were also missing money, specifically 20 € each. Her response was again shouting, insisting she didn’t need that money because she had plenty at home. The situation was surreal and very unpleasant; she was completely unhinged. Given the seriousness of what happened and how it was handled, we filed a complaint with the Civil Guard to document the facts. We would not recommend this accommodation, not only because of the listing’s shortcomings but especially due to the lack of professionalism, the treatment we received, and the sense of insecurity it left us with.
