Motel 6 Lake Charles, LA

“Had pretty much no choice needed a place late will never stay again”

The place had a roof and walls, but the room was filthy and the bed was covered in mold. The morning was awful, and the manager was completely useless. I did meet a cleaning lady who mentioned that she’s been telling management about how moldy and dirty it is.

“Terrible Condition”

The floors, walls, and windows were all damp, so my cat got soaked. We had to wear shoes in the room, which made it feel very uncomfortable.

The location was great, but I found an empty condom wrapper by the door and the room had a musty smell.

“Very easy to manage an solve problem”

The room was relaxing with a big TV, and the AC was leaking, but they offered to change rooms, which I declined. It’s spacious, nobody bothered us, free Wi‑Fi, and a nice desk to write at. However, the room wasn’t very clean; the bedding hadn’t been changed and it smelled like the housekeeper had put the same dirty sheet back on the bed. I had to ask for a clean one, and the staff was receptive. There were scratches on the wall and a mark that had been there before we arrived, so I took pictures beforehand. The microwave needs an update: you have to clear it and then press 1 or 3 to cook your food because the start button doesn’t work.

“Wasn’t the best. We expected better.”

It’s affordable, the beds are clean-ish, and the staff is friendly. Booking was easy and it’s pet friendly. The glass on the ground outside and other people’s puppy hair on the toilet made it feel not clean, and the floors were dirty and unswept.
