The location next to the castle was convenient for the wedding, but the breakfast left something to be desired.
“Prima voor heel kort verblijf”
The king‑size bed was solid, the bedding fresh and soft, and the basic bathroom was well maintained; however, contact and email communication were mediocre, online check‑in was clunky, early check‑in confirmation was incomplete, and I had to keep following up; the request for two separate beds was not honored, probably because our tiny basement room could not accommodate them; the absence of a reception desk made everything difficult, there was no explanation about the digital room key or how to find the room, and staff were unhelpful for questions or breakfast, so the “SMART” system felt impersonal and unwelcoming.
The place was very noisy and loud; when the outer door closed the entire wall next to the bed rattled, and although the booking said we could order breakfast on site, that turned out to be false.

The town was lovely and quiet, breakfast was excellent and served by friendly staff, but there was no restaurant or bar and the nearest facilities were a long walk away, and the electronic check‑in system was fiddly for someone my age.
