They offered breakfast as compensation for a room they couldn’t provide, but when we went for breakfast it was already gone, so no compensation. The owner was not friendly.
“Very satisfactory”
The location and price were good. The place was dated, but I knew that beforehand.

The location is good. Nothing else.

The bed was comfy, there was a TV, the breakfast was lovely, and it’s close to the Headingley cricket ground. There’s plenty of parking at the back, and as a disabled guest I requested a ground‑floor room, which they supplied.
“Value for what you pay.”
We’ve stayed at Butlers before, and what we liked most was the friendly and helpful staff and the really good breakfast. This time we got a great room that opened onto the car park. The hotel needs a makeover, but the bedding and towels were spotless. We visit when Headingley hosts cricket; it’s a 5‑minute walk to the ground. Parking is free and behind the hotel. The shower in the room was not very good—just a trickle of water came out.
