“Fantastic”
Very helpful friendly staff Location Boat trips Food. Nothing
“Very calm location, excellent breakfast, nice pool.”
The spot sits where a river meets a big lake, and it’s stunning. The pool was great, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast kept arriving and was really good, plus the lime sodas in the afternoon were lovely. Dinner fell short: the menu bragged about the local lake fish, yet it wasn’t on the plate, and the prawns were terrible—especially bad for a place that prides itself on prawns. There was no beer licence, and the 2‑hour shikara ride cost £20 a person, which felt outrageous. We said no and instead took a 3‑hour ferry from Alapuzha to Kottyam a few days later for just 25p a person.
I was really looking forward to enjoying the scenic river views during my stay, but unfortunately, the lack of hot water in the hotel made it difficult for me to relax. The river boating experience was a highlight, and I wish I could have enjoyed it more without the inconvenience of not having access to hot water.
The staff couldn’t do enough for us, but the resort itself is beautiful and the boat trips arranged were wonderful.
I was blown away by the hotel's stunning beauty, with its gorgeous garden and lovely pool. The setting was simply breathtaking, right on the edge of the backwaters. The staff were top-notch, providing exceptional service and going above and beyond to make our stay special. The food was also delicious, and I couldn't fault anything about our stay.
